⛰️ Little Tigers & All Belt Families Enjoy Nature and Fun on Our October 19th Hike!
We are so proud of our incredible community here at Master Na's Traditional Martial Arts! While we train hard every day in Stamford, sometimes the best lessons are learned outside the dojang. That was certainly the case with our recent school event on October 19th. We invited all of our school members, their families and friends to step away from the rigors of our regular classes—including the Little Tigers (4 to 6 years old), All belt (7 to 13 years old), and Adult & Family (13 years old and up) programs—to enjoy nature and the benefits a good hike can bring us. Held just a short drive from our location at the Ridgeway Shopping Center here in Stamford, Connecticut, the day was dedicated entirely to good quality time and making some meaningful and fun memories together. It was a fantastic reminder that Master Na's Traditional Martial Arts is more than just Taekwondo; it's a supportive, active family promoting health and connection throughout the United States.
🌲 A Challenge for Our Black Belt Candidates
This hike was not just a leisurely stroll; it served as a crucial requirement for our 2025 Black Belt Candidates. Their training at Master Na's Traditional Martial Arts goes beyond physical skill; it tests their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the community. The day started with a demanding first lap around the park dedicated specifically to these candidates, setting a high bar for the journey ahead. This rigorous challenge, at the stunning Bear Mountain in New York State, exemplifies the mindset we instill across all our programs in Stamford, Connecticut, proving that discipline and resilience are key to success, both on and off the mat.
🧘 Harnessing the Benefits of Nature
While the hike was challenging, it offered profound rewards for all. As a group, we took time for a special meditation session during our descent from the mountain. Stopping to fully appreciate the stunning scenery of Bear Mountain, we focused on taking in the benefits of nature, such as the refreshing good quality air and the soothing sounds of our environment. This intentional pause allowed our students—from the Little Tigers to the Adult & Family members—to practice mindfulness, a core component of Traditional Martial Arts. It was a powerful shared experience that reinforces the connection between mind, body, and the world around us.
👨👩👧👦 Making Meaningful Memories Together
The event successfully achieved its primary goal: to foster good quality time and make meaningful and fun memories together. It was a joy to see our youngest Little Tigers students hiking alongside our advanced All belt competitors, all while supported by their families and our dedicated Black Belt Candidates. This shared experience strengthens the ties within Master Na's Traditional Martial Arts, proving that our school, located conveniently in the Ridgeway Shopping Center in Stamford, truly operates as a supportive family. This commitment to community and holistic wellness is what makes our Taekwondo for all ages program unique.
